Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig, September 21 1982. Maggie Grace is an American Actress best known as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Originally from Worthington Ohio, she left high school to move to Los Angeles with her mother when her parents separated. However, in 2001, despite finances it was possible to land her first major part in the web-based video show Rachel's Room in the role of Rachel's Room's main character. The TV film Murder in Greenwich that she appeared in, where she played a 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford was the character Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004, and was awarded with her a Screen Actors Guild Award (with other cast members) alongside her. Grace decided to concentrate on film following her role as Tom Welling's character on The Fog, in 2005. The actress was on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) as well as opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in the year 2008. In 2008, she played the same role on Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both in 2012). Grace was back on the Lost series for the last two episodes playing Shannon. She is a member of the Gyllenhaal Family, she is the daughter and elder sister to the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. The career of her mother began when she was a young teenager when she appeared in small roles in several films from her father. Also, she worked alongside her brother in 2001's cult film Donnie Darko. Then she appeared on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received critical praise for her leading roles in Secretary (2002 the erotic romance drama) as well as Sherrybaby (606), both that earned their Golden Globe Award nods. The actress gained more attention for her role as Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) due to the success of several commercial films that she was a part of the year 2006.
