Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri has been a popular Indian actress who has gained fame for her role in the film Hum Aapke Hin Koun and Beta Saajan. In the 80s the actress began her acting career, and was well-known for the character Tezaab, in which she starred with an established actor Anil Kapooor. The next time she appeared on screen was in Dil alongside Aamir. In Mumbai, she was raised within a middle class family parents. At a very young age, she started to learn dance. As a teen, she attempted acting, but most of those early films were unsuccessful. She found fame and became one of India's leading film actresses. Following her wedding was over, she took a few months to rest from her acting career prior to returning. In the past, she was in a crucial character in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the struggles of women living in India. Dixit has been nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these she's won eight. The actress was also honoured with her Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian award in India. She has also been recognized for her efforts in the field of social work.
