Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. Growing up, she listened to classical music, old boleros as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves the opera and tango genres as well as any form of dramatic performance. She began singing and learning music with her mother, before beginning her vocal instruction at the age of sixteen with world-renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. She continued her musical training through the School of Music of Guadalajara University. She then attended the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and young professional, she performed with several chamber groups and opera choruses throughout Guadalajara and Mexico City. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She is a current member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist performing classic Latin American music at private performances. She is passionate about the arts, music, and performing keep her engaged in many local projects in the roles of teacher and performer. Ana is also an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as along with an active member of Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for the opportunity to share her love and love for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to instill a sense of for younger generations for keeping the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
